Description

The C8111-C-G2 is a cloud-managed secure router from the Cisco C8000 G2 range, running Meraki MX OS. It suits small to medium distributed branch sites of up to 200 devices that need remote administration, SD-WAN and security from the Meraki Dashboard, with 5G cellular as a primary or backup WAN. It has no Wi-Fi radio.

There are two dedicated 2.5 mGig RJ45 WAN ports and four Gigabit RJ45 LAN ports, giving three WAN uplinks together with the built-in 5G SA/NSA and CAT20 LTE modem. The modem takes one nano SIM and also has an embedded eSIM. The WAN port offers 30W 802.3at PoE+, and one LAN port provides 45W 802.3bt UPoE for an access point, camera or VoIP phone. Stateful firewall throughput is 2 Gbps in NAT mode, maximum VPN throughput is 1.2 Gbps, and advanced security throughput is 1 Gbps. A 150W DC power supply is used.

The cellular modem uses four external removable SMA antennas, and the Cisco 5G-ANT-C8111 antenna set is the matching part. The router requires a Meraki licence and the cloud Dashboard to operate.
