Description

The Meraki C8121-CW-G2-MX is a cloud-managed secure router from the C8100 G2 range, running MX OS. It suits small to medium branch and distributed-enterprise sites of up to 200 devices that need remote administration, SD-WAN, cellular 5G as a primary or failover WAN, built-in Wi-Fi 6 and PoE for access points, cameras and VoIP phones.

This variant pairs dual-band 2x2 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 6 with a built-in 5G SA and CAT20 LTE modem, supporting one Nano (4FF) SIM plus an embedded eSIM. Connectivity includes 2 x 2.5 mGig RJ45 dedicated WAN ports and 10 x 1 GbE RJ45 LAN ports, three of which provide 802.3bt 45W UPoE. The PoE budget is 30W on the WAN side and 135W across the LAN. Stateful firewall throughput is 2 Gbps in NAT mode, with 1.2 Gbps of VPN throughput and 1 Gbps of advanced security throughput. Power comes from a 250W DC supply, and the unit mounts on a desktop or wall.

It is managed through the Cisco Meraki Dashboard, which requires a Meraki licence. Cellular carrier certifications include AT&T and T-Mobile, and four external removable SMA antennas connect the cellular radio.
