Description

The Nexus 9300-GX2 is a compact 1RU data-centre switch built for leaf and spine roles in high-density fabrics. It suits large ACI and VXLAN EVPN deployments, IP Fabric for Media, and traffic-visibility designs using Nexus Dashboard Data Broker.

This -M model provides 32 fixed 400G QSFP-DD ports and 2 fixed 1/10G SFP+ ports, with 25.6 Tbps of bandwidth and a forwarding rate of 4.17 bpps. It carries 64GB of system memory, a 128GB SSD and a 120MB buffer. The last 8 ports support wire-rate MACsec. Each 400G port also runs 200G, 100G or 40G natively, with breakout options including 4x10G, 4x25G, 4x50G, 4x100G and 2x200G. It runs in either NX-OS or ACI mode.

Power comes from a 1500W AC supply with 5+1 redundant, hot-swappable fans. Software licences are managed through Cisco Smart Accounts in Essentials, Advantage and Premier tiers. Optics are ordered separately, and the Cisco Optics-to-Device Compatibility Matrix lists supported modules.

A: Licences are managed through Cisco Smart Accounts. Subscription tiers are Essentials, Advantage and Premier, each with a 3, 5 or 7 year term.
