Description

The Hyperfabric 6000 HF6100-32D is a cloud-managed 1RU data centre fabric switch with 32 x 40/100/200/400G QSFP-DD ports. It is built for Top-of-Rack, IP fabric leaf and spine, and mesh (spineless) deployments managed through the Cisco Nexus Hyperfabric cloud controller, including AI/ML cluster fabrics on the Premier tier.

The Cisco Silicon One Q200 ASIC delivers up to 12.8 Tbps of switching capacity and an 8 Bpps forwarding rate, with breakout support on the QSFP-DD ports. Management connectivity is provided by a 1G RJ45 Ethernet port, an RJ45 RS-232 console and a USB-C port. The switch has a 4-core Intel Broadwell 2.4 GHz CPU, 16GB DDR4 and 32GB flash, plus two 1+1 redundant power supply slots and six fan slots in a 5+1 arrangement. This -D configurable drop-ship part number is hardware only with no subscription, and the power supply and airflow direction are selected at order. A valid Nexus Hyperfabric subscription is required for each switch connected to the cloud controller.

Supported pluggable transceivers are listed in the Cisco TMG matrix. Compatible accessories include FAN-1RU-PI-V2 and FAN-1RU-PE-V2 fans and the N9K-ACC-KIT-1RU-L and N9K-ACC-KIT-1RU-S rack kits.

Q: Does this switch need a software licence or subscription?
A: No separate software licence is needed, but a valid Cisco Nexus Hyperfabric subscription is required for each switch connected to the cloud controller. All switches in a fabric must use the same subscription tier. This -D part number is hardware only, with no subscription included.

Q: What power supplies can be fitted?
A: The switch has two hot-swappable power supply slots in a 1+1 arrangement. Options are 1450W AC (PSU1.4KW-ACPI/ACPE), 2000W AC (PSU2KW-ACPI/ACPE) and 2000W DC (PSU2KW-DCPI/DCPE), each available in port-intake or port-exhaust airflow. The configurable -D part number is built to order, so the power supply and airflow are chosen when ordering.
