Description

The UCS 6664 is a 2RU top-of-rack fabric interconnect from the Cisco UCS 6600 Series. It provides LAN and SAN connectivity and a single management domain for UCS X-Series, B-Series and managed C-Series servers, and suits environments moving to 100G Ethernet and 64G Fibre Channel with converged LAN/SAN, IP storage and NVMe-oF traffic.

The 64 fixed ports include 48 x 40/100GbE QSFP28 ports and 16 unified ports (ports 25-40) that run as 10/25/50G SFP Ethernet or 16/32/64G Fibre Channel. Switching capacity is up to 11.648 Tbps in a cut-through design with sub-microsecond latency. This 64-port, 2RU, 100G model differs from the 1RU UCS 6652, which offers 52 ports of 10/25/50G with 400G uplinks. Power comes from up to two 1400W AC platinum supplies with four hot-swappable fan modules. A mandatory perpetual software licence (UCS-FI-6664-SW) is auto-included and activates all ports and software features.

The 6664 works with UCS X9508 and UCS 5108 chassis, UCSX-9108-25G, UCSX-9108-100G and IOM 2408 modules, and UCS VIC 1400, 14000 and 15000 series adapters. It supports B-/X-Series M5 and newer and C-Series M6 and newer servers, and is managed through Cisco UCS Manager or Cisco Intersight.

Q: Does the UCS 6664 need a separate software licence?
A: No. A perpetual software licence (UCS-FI-6664-SW) is auto-included and activates all ports and software features. Intersight management may need separate Intersight licensing.
