Description

The Cisco 6000 Series HF6100-32D is a cloud-managed, 1RU data centre fabric switch built for Cisco Nexus Hyperfabric. It suits leaf, spine, mesh (spineless) and border roles in BGP EVPN VXLAN designs, and it is a strong fit for top-of-rack or 400G uplink connectivity in AI and high-performance data centre builds.

The switch provides 32 x 40G/100G/200G/400G QSFP-DD ports with 56Gb SerDes and breakout support, driven by the Cisco Silicon One Q200 ASIC. Switching capacity is up to 12.8 Tbps with an 8 Bpps forwarding rate. This is the static fixed-hardware SKU with port exhaust airflow and an AC power supply, supplied as hardware only with no subscription. Redundant 1+1 power supplies and 5+1 redundant cooling fans support continuous operation, and typical system power is 288W excluding optics.

Out-of-band access is provided by a 1G RJ45 management port, an RJ45 RS-232 console and a USB-C port, backed by 16GB of DDR4 memory and 32GB of flash. Management is through the Cisco Nexus Hyperfabric Cloud Controller, which requires a separately purchased Hyperfabric subscription for each connected switch.
