Description

The Cisco C8130-VAP-G2 is a fanless small-branch secure router from the Secure WAN 8100 Series G2. It is built for point-of-sale sites, small branches, remote workers and IoT connectivity, and suits locations that use POTS-based DSL (Annex A) or XGSPON fibre service. It runs autonomous routing or SD-WAN, and is PQC ready.

This variant has an embedded VDSL2/ADSL modem for POTS lines (Annex A), 4GB DRAM, 16GB flash and no cellular. WAN connectivity comes from one RJ-11 DSL port, one XGSPON/10G BASE-T port and one 1GE RJ-45/SFP combo port. Two 1GE LAN ports and two 1GE flex ports handle local connections. Forwarding throughput is 1.9 Gbps and IPsec throughput is 1.5 Gbps (512B), with up to 250 IPsec tunnels. It is powered by a 66W external supply and draws 23W typically. There is no PoE on this model.

Autonomous routing needs IOS XE 26.1.1 or later. SD-WAN mode requires IOS XE 26.2.1 and Catalyst SD-WAN Manager 26.2.1. The SFP combo port accepts SFP optics, and the compact chassis supports rackmount, desktop, under-desk and DIN-rail or wall mounting.
