Description

This 3RU modular switch chassis is the base DC-powered system configuration of the Juniper EX9253, built for Ethernet core and distribution deployments. It includes one Routing Engine, four fan trays and three JNP-PWR1100-DC-BB DC power supplies, with up to 2.4 Tbps per slot once line cards are fitted. Two slots are available for line cards, which must be ordered separately. It runs Junos OS and suits DC-powered data centre and telco environments.

Q: Does this chassis include line cards?
A: No. The chassis ships with one Routing Engine, four fan trays and three DC power supplies. Line cards such as the EX9253-6Q12C or EX9253-6Q12C-M must be ordered separately.

Q: What power input does the EX9253-BASE-DC use?
A: It is supplied with three JNP-PWR1100-DC-BB DC power supplies operating from -40 to -72 V DC. The chassis can hold up to six PSUs with 3+1 redundancy.

Q: Can I add Routing Engine redundancy?
