Description

The EX4550-32F-AFO is a 1U Layer 3 converged Ethernet switch with 32 fixed 1/10GbE SFP/SFP+ ports and two expansion slots that scale the platform to 48 ports. This AFO model uses port side to PSU side airflow and ships with a 650W AC power supply, making it suited to top-of-rack and aggregation deployments in data centres and campus cores. Virtual Chassis support allows up to 10 members to operate as a single logical device.

Q: What does AFO airflow mean on the EX4550-32F-AFO?
A: AFO is air flow out. Air travels from the port side to the PSU side and exhausts from the rear, so the rack airflow design should match this direction.

Q: Does this switch have built-in 40GbE ports?
A: No. The base unit has 32 fixed 1/10GbE SFP/SFP+ ports. 40GbE QSFP+ connectivity is available through an optional 2-port expansion module.

Q: Can the port count be expanded beyond 32?
