Description

The Cisco Secure Firewall 6100 4-port 40/100/200G network module adds high-bandwidth Ethernet connectivity to Secure Firewall 6100 Series appliances. It is built for data centre and campus edge firewall deployments that need 40, 100 or 200G links on the security perimeter.

The module provides four QSFP56 ports, each operating at 40, 100 or 200 Gbps with full-duplex Ethernet. Each 100-Gbps port can be split into four 10-Gbps or 25-Gbps interfaces using supported breakout cables, giving up to 16 x 10/25G interfaces per module. Ports are numbered Ethernet 2/1 to 2/4 or 3/1 to 3/4 depending on the network module slot it is installed in, and breakout interfaces follow the same scheme, for example Ethernet 2/1/1 to 2/4/4.

This module installs in a network module slot on the Secure Firewall 6100 Series chassis. It uses QSFP56 and QSFP optics together with supported breakout cables. Related modules in the same range include the CSF6K-XNM-4X40G 4-port 40G module and the CSF6K-XNM-2X100G 2-port 100G module.
