Description

The Catalyst 9200CX is a fanless, compact access-layer switch from the Catalyst 9200 range. It suits branch offices, open workspaces, desks, classrooms and hospitality sites where a silent switch is mounted on the floor, a wall or under a desk and powered from an upstream UPOE+ switch. It can power PoE+ endpoints such as IP phones, wireless access points and cameras.

This model provides 8 x 10/100/1000 PoE+ downlink ports and 2 x 1G copper uplinks that accept UPOE+ (IEEE 802.3bt) power input. Switching capacity is 20 Gbps with a forwarding rate of 14.88 Mpps. Available PoE budget is 180 W with the 80 W adapter or 240 W with the 150 W adapter. It carries 4 GB DRAM, 8 GB flash and a 6 MB packet buffer, and runs Cisco IOS XE.

The C9200CX-8PT-2G-E ships with the perpetual Network Essentials licence tier, which can be upgraded to Network Advantage. It works with the C9K compact mounting range, including magnet tray, DIN rail, 19-inch rack, wall and under-desk kits, and the C9K-80W-ADPT and C9K-150W-ADPT power adapters. It does not support stacking.
