Description

The Catalyst 3560-CX is a fanless, compact managed Layer 3 switch built for deployments outside the wiring closet, such as open workspaces, conference rooms and desks. This non-PoE model provides data connectivity for PCs, IP phones and other endpoints over a single copper or fibre uplink.

It has eight 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet downlink ports and four 1G uplinks, made up of two copper ports and two SFP ports. Forwarding bandwidth is 16 Gbps and switching bandwidth is 32 Gbps with 1G uplinks, with a forwarding rate of 17.9 mpps on 64-byte packets. It carries 128 MB of flash and 512 MB of DRAM. This SKU ships with the IP Base feature set, which can be upgraded to IP Services with the Right-To-Use licence. Power draw is 18.8 W at full throughput from an internal 100-240 VAC power supply.

The SFP uplinks accept Cisco SFP modules listed in the Cisco Transceiver Compatibility matrix. Mounting options include wall, under desk, rack and DIN rail using the Catalyst 3560-CX compact accessories, and management is supported through Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Network Assistant and Cisco DNA Center.

A: No. This is a non-PoE model, so it provides data connectivity only. Powered devices need a separate power source or a PoE-capable switch.
