Description

The Cisco C9350-12Y is a fixed, stackable fibre access and aggregation switch from the Cisco C9350 Series. It is built for compact server rooms, small aggregation layers and branch deployments that need high-speed 25G connectivity to servers, storage or wireless controllers.

The switch provides 12 multirate 1G/10G/25G SFP28 downlink ports on a single Cisco Silicon One A100/L ASIC. Bandwidth is rated at 1000G (2600G with stacking) with a forwarding rate of 744 Mpps (1934.40 Mpps with stacking). It has no PoE and ships with the PWR-C2-500WAC 500W AC power supply as the default. It has three power supply bays and three fan-tray bays with N+1 fan redundancy, in a 1RU chassis. It runs Cisco IOS XE and needs Cisco unified licensing through Smart Licensing, and stack members must share the same licence level.

An optional modular uplink network module adds up to 200G of uplink bandwidth. Supported modules are the C9350-NM-2C, C9350-NM-8Y and C9350-NM-8M. Stacking uses StackWise-1.6T cables, with up to 8 members and 1.6 Tbps of stack bandwidth.

FAQs

Q: What licensing does the C9350-12Y use?
A: It uses Cisco unified licensing through Cisco Networking Subscription or an Enterprise Agreement, managed via Cisco Smart Accounts and Smart Licensing. All members of a stack must use the same licence level.

Q: Does the C9350-12Y support PoE?
A: No. This model has no PoE capability. It uses the PWR-C2-500WAC 500W AC power supply by default and supports up to three hot-swappable power supplies.

Q: Which uplink modules work with this switch?
A: The C9350-NM-2C (2 x 100G/40G QSFP), C9350-NM-8Y (8 x 25G/10G/1G or 4 x 50G) and C9350-NM-8M (8 x Multigigabit RJ-45) modules are supported, for up to 200G of uplink bandwidth. The uplink module is purchased separately.

Q: Can it be stacked with Catalyst 9300 switches?
A: No. It stacks with other C9350 switches using StackWise-1.6T cables (STACK-T1A-50CM=, STACK-T1A-1M=, STACK-T1A-3M=) and is not compatible with Catalyst 9300 stacking cables.

Q: What software version does it require?
A: It requires Cisco IOS XE Release 26.2.1 or later.
