FAQs

FAQs

Q: Is UPOE standards-based?
A: UPOE is Cisco’s 60W extension and interoperates with 802.3af/at devices; 60W output requires compatible UPOE endpoints.

Q: Does it include an uplink module by default?
A: No. Choose a C3KX uplink module (1G SFP or 10G SFP+) based on your uplink requirements.

Q: Can this switch perform Layer 3 routing?
A: Yes. IP Base supports L3 edge features such as static routing; for advanced routing, use an IP Services image.

Q: Does it support stacking?
A: Data stacking is not supported. StackPower is supported for power sharing with compatible units.

Q: What is the maximum power per port?
A: Up to 60W/port with UPOE, subject to the switch’s overall power budget.
