Description

The UCS XE130c M8 is a 1 RU, half-width edge compute node for the Cisco UCS XE9305 Chassis, part of the Cisco Unified Edge platform. It suits retail, branch and remote sites that need compact, AI-ready compute for bare-metal servers, virtualisation, containers and AI/ML inferencing, managed centrally through Cisco Intersight.

This SKU is built on a single Intel Xeon 6 SoC with P-cores, with 20 physical cores, and is ordered as a UCS XE9305 Chassis option without storage or memory. The node offers 8 DDR5-6400 RDIMM slots for up to 768 GB, two rear 25 Gbps ports to the chassis mid-plane and two front 10 Gbps RJ-45 host ports. Internal storage is up to two M.2 SSDs with hardware RAID 1, plus front hot-swappable E3.S NVMe drives: four in the Storage-Optimized configuration or three in the IO-Optimized configuration.

A dedicated PCIe Gen5 slot takes a 75 W half-height, half-length GPU such as the NVIDIA L4, and IO-Optimized configurations add a PCIe Gen5 half-height, half-length slot for a NIC, DPU or IPU. Up to five nodes fit in one UCS XE9305 Chassis, which supplies power and cooling.
