Description

The UCS XE130c M8 is a 1 RU, half-width, sled-based compute node from the Cisco Unified Edge range. It is built for edge infrastructure deployments such as bare-metal servers, virtualisation, containers and AI/ML workloads in distributed locations, and installs in the Cisco UCS XE9305 Chassis.

This SKU is the 12-core version, powered by a single Intel Xeon 6 SoC with P-cores running at 2.0 GHz, and is supplied as a standalone node without storage or memory. The board provides 8 DIMM slots across 4 memory channels for DDR5-6400 RDIMMs, up to 768 GB using 8 x 96 GB modules. Connectivity includes two rear 25 Gbps ports to the chassis mid-plane and two front 10 Gbps RJ-45 host ports. Storage options include up to 4 front E3.S NVMe drives in the Storage-Optimized configuration or 3 in the IO-Optimized configuration, plus two M.2 SSDs with hardware RAID 1.

Expansion includes a PCIe Gen5 slot for a 75 W half-height, half-length GPU such as the NVIDIA L4, and a second PCIe Gen5 adapter slot for NICs, DPUs or IPUs in the IO-Optimized configuration. Management is handled through Cisco Intersight.
