Description

The UCS X410c M8 is a second-generation 4-socket compute node for the Cisco UCS X-Series Modular System, built around Intel Xeon 6 processors. It suits mission-critical enterprise applications, memory-intensive workloads, and bare-metal or virtualised deployments, and works well as a consolidation platform. UCSX-410C-M8 is the base node, supplied without CPU, memory, storage or mezzanine, so you specify those components to suit the workload.

Each node supports four Intel Xeon 6 processors with up to 86 cores per processor and 64 DDR5 DIMM slots, 16 per CPU, reaching up to 16 TB with 256GB RDIMMs at up to 6400 MT/s. Front storage options include up to nine EDSFF E3.S NVMe drives, or up to six 2.5-inch SAS, SATA or NVMe drives when a front mezzanine is fitted. Two M.2 SATA or NVMe boot drives are supported through a mini storage module. The mLOM slot takes a Cisco UCS VIC 15420 or VIC 15230, and a rear mezzanine option adds the VIC 15422. The node requires Cisco Intersight in Intersight Managed Mode, with a minimum Essentials licence per server.

It installs in the Cisco UCS X9508 chassis, which holds up to four of these nodes in 7RU, and connects through Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects 6454, 64108, 6536, 6664 or the UCS Fabric Interconnect 9108 100G.
