Description

The Cisco Embedded Services 3300 Series is a board-level Ethernet switch for partners and integrators who need custom, rugged, small-form-factor switching. It suits solutions for defence, oil and gas, transportation and mining, as well as tactical data centres, HD video surveillance and self-driving vehicles. This SKU is the main board plus the 16-port expansion board in the 24-port configuration, supplied without a cooling plate.

The main board provides 2 x 1G/10GE SFP+ ports, 4 x 1G combo ports and 4 x 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, and the expansion board adds 4 more 1G combo ports and 12 x 10/100/1000BASE-T ports. It has 4 GB DDR4 DRAM, 4 GB onboard eMMC flash and RS-232 and USB console access. Input is +3.3Vdc and +5Vdc, with typical consumption of 24 W for both boards. The conduction-cooled design operates from -40 to 85 C, measured at the heat spreader plate.

This -A SKU runs Cisco IOS XE with the Network Advantage licence, which adds OSPF, RIP, IS-IS and EIGRP routing, VRF-lite, PIM multicast, BFD, HSRP, VRRP and MACsec-256 on the 1G downlink ports. It works with Cisco SFP and SFP+ optics such as GLC-SX-MM, GLC-LH-SM, SFP-10G-SR and SFP-10G-LR.
