Q: What uplink modules are compatible with the C9300X-24HX-A?
A: The switch supports optional Cisco network modules including 10G/25G and 40G/100G uplink modules. Compatible modules include the C9300X-NM-2Q (2x 40G/100G QSFP28), C9300X-NM-8Y (8x 25G SFP28), and C9300-NM-4G/4M options. The uplink module is sold separately and is field-replaceable.

Q: Can this switch stack with other Catalyst 9300 series models?
A: Yes, the C9300X-24HX-A supports mixed stacking with Catalyst 9300 and 9300X modular uplink models at StackWise-480 speeds or StackWise-1T speeds (9300X only). It cannot stack with C9300L fixed uplink models or Catalyst 3850/3650 series switches. Up to 8 switches can be stacked.

Q: What is the difference between Network Advantage and Network Essentials licenses?
A: Network Advantage (included with the -A SKU) provides full Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS), SD-Access fabric support, EVPN, segment routing, advanced telemetry, and application visibility. Network Essentials offers basic Layer 2/3 features. Network Advantage is required for enterprise automation and SD-Access deployments.

Q: How much total PoE power is available for this switch?
A: The default 1100W AC power supply provides 735W PoE budget. With an optional secondary power supply, total PoE budget can reach 1085W (with 350W PSU), 1450W (with 715W PSU), or 1835W (with 1100W PSU). Each port supports up to 90W UPOE+ power delivery.

Q: Is this switch suitable for Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E access point deployments?
A: Yes, the C9300X-24HX-A is specifically designed for high-density Wi-Fi 6/6E deployments. The multigigabit ports support 2.5G/5G/10G speeds required by modern access points, and 90W UPOE+ ensures sufficient power for high-performance wireless devices without external power injectors.
