FAQs

Q: Does the C9200L-24T-4X-E support Power over Ethernet?
A: No, this is a data-only model with no PoE capability. For PoE requirements, consider the C9200L-24P-4X-E which offers PoE+ on all 24 ports with a 370W budget.

Q: Can this switch be stacked with other Catalyst 9200 models?
A: Yes, it supports StackWise-80 stacking with other C9200L models (up to 8 switches). Mixed stacking with modular C9200 or C9200CX models is not supported.

Q: What Layer 3 routing protocols are supported with Network Essentials?
A: Network Essentials licensing supports static routing, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP stub routing, and PIM stub for routed access applications. Full dynamic routing requires a Network Advantage license upgrade.

Q: Is this switch compatible with Cisco DNA Center?
A: Yes, the C9200L-24T-4X-E is fully compatible with Cisco DNA Center for centralized automation, assurance, and intent-based network management. A Cisco DNA subscription is required for these features.

Q: What is the difference between the 4X and 4G uplink models?
A: The 4X model (C9200L-24T-4X-E) has four 10G SFP+ uplinks for higher-speed backbone connectivity, while the 4G model (C9200L-24T-4G-E) has four 1G SFP uplinks. Choose based on your uplink bandwidth requirements.
