FAQs

Q: How many devices can be powered with the 370W PoE budget?
A: It depends on device draw. For example, at 15.4W (802.3af) you can power more devices than at 30W (802.3at). The combined draw of active PoE ports must not exceed 370W.

Q: Are the fiber uplinks 1G or 10G?
A: They are 1G SFP uplinks. For 10G uplinks, select a model with SFP+.

Q: Is a separate license needed for L3 features?
A: No add-on feature license is required for standard L2/L3 with AOS-CX.

Q: Which SFPs are supported?
A: Standard 1G SFP optics including SX (850 nm), LX (1310 nm), BX, and 1G copper SFP, subject to vendor compatibility.

Q: Can this switch be cloud-managed?
A: Yes, it is Aruba Central–ready when paired with the appropriate subscriptions.
