Description

The Aruba CX 6200F is a fixed-configuration, stackable Layer 3 access switch running AOS-CX. This non-PoE model suits enterprise edge, campus access, SMB and branch-office networks that need a stackable Layer 3 access switch without PoE.

It provides 24 x 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports plus 4 x 100M/1G SFP uplink ports, with 68 Gbps of switching capacity and up to 45.1 Mpps of throughput. Because it is non-PoE, it supplies no PoE budget, and it runs from a fixed internal AC power supply rated 100-120 V / 200-240 V at 120 W maximum. VSF stacking supports up to 8 members with 40 Gbps of stacking bandwidth. The switch is a 1U unit powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex A72 CPU with 8 GB DDR4 and 16 GB eMMC. This is the non-TAA variant.

It stacks with other 24 and 48-port CX 6200F and 6200M switches, but not with 12-port 6200F models. The SFP uplinks accept supported HPE Aruba Networking SFP transceivers.

A: No. The S0M81A is a non-PoE model with 24 Gigabit RJ45 ports, so it provides no PoE budget.

Q: Does it need a separate software licence?
A: It runs AOS-CX. Aruba Central cloud management is optional and requires a separate subscription.

Q: What can it be stacked with?
A: It stacks using VSF with other 24 and 48-port CX 6200F and 6200M switches, up to 8 members. It cannot stack with 12-port 6200F models.

Q: What speeds do the SFP uplink ports support?
A: The 4 SFP ports support 100M and 1G operation. They are not 10G ports.
