FAQs

Q: Is this a modular chassis and do ports depend on line cards?
A: Yes. Port types and densities are determined by the installed line cards and supervisors.

Q: Does it support Power over Ethernet?
A: Yes, when PoE-capable line cards and sufficient power supplies are installed. 802.3af/at/bt (up to 90W per port) are supported by appropriate modules.

Q: What uplink options are available?
A: Uplinks are module-based with options for 25/40/100G. Typical uplink modules provide 4–8 ports.

Q: Are additional feature licenses required for L2/L3?
A: Core L2/L3 features are included. Optional cloud management subscriptions can be added if desired.

Q: How is high availability achieved?
A: Via redundant supervisors/PSUs within a chassis and VSX multi-chassis resiliency across two chassis.
