Description

The Aruba 2540 48G PoE+ 4SFP+ is a fixed-configuration Layer 2 managed access switch built for enterprise campus, SMB and branch-office networks. It suits the access layer, powering wireless access points, IP phones, cameras and IoT devices while passing traffic upstream over 10GbE links.

It provides 48 autosensing 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and four 1/10GbE SFP+ uplink ports. The internal PoE+ budget is 370W, with up to 30W available per port. Switching capacity is 176 Gbps and forwarding throughput reaches 112 Mpps. Layer 2 switching is paired with static and RIP routing and IPv6. No software licence is required for these features, and optional Aruba Central cloud management is a separate subscription.

The four SFP+ slots accept 1GbE SFP and 10GbE SFP+ optics and DACs. The switch can be managed through Aruba Central, AirWave, ClearPass and IMC, as well as the CLI, web interface and SNMP. It is a 1U rack-mountable unit with side-to-side airflow.
