Description

The Arista 7020SRG-24C2 is a 1RU data centre switch from the 7020R Series, built for 1G/10G leaf-spine designs, storage networks and secure site-to-site connectivity between data centres. It combines deep packet buffers with hardware IPSec encryption, so links to a point of presence or backup data centre can be protected without a separate appliance.

It provides 24 x 1/10GbE SFP+ ports and 2 x 100GbE QSFP100 uplinks, with 880 Gbps throughput and 300 Mpps forwarding. A 3 GB packet buffer and latency from 3.8 microseconds suit bursty east-west traffic. The IPSec engine delivers up to 20 Gbps across 98 tunnels using AES-128/AES-256 and SHA-1/SHA-256. This variant has front-to-rear airflow and two hot-swap AC power supplies in a 1+1 redundant arrangement, with 2 x C13-C14 power cords, drawing a typical 95W and 105W at maximum.

The SFP+ ports accept 10GBASE-CR, AOC, SR, LR, ER, ZR and DWDM optics as well as 1GbE SX/LX. The QSFP100 ports support 100GBASE and 40GBASE optics and cables, plus 4x10G and 4x25G breakout. It runs Arista EOS (minimum EOS 4.22.0) and is managed through CloudVision.
