Description

The Meraki MG51E is a cloud-managed 5G cellular gateway for sites that need a fast wireless WAN link. It converts 5G and LTE signal from a carrier into an Ethernet handoff, so it can act as the primary or backup internet uplink for branch offices and remote locations where a wired circuit is slow to deploy or unavailable.

This MG51E variant uses external MIMO antennas, as opposed to the MG51 with integrated antennas, which lets the antennas be positioned for the best possible signal. It supports 5G NR (NSA, Sub-6) with LTE Advanced Pro fallback, dual nano-SIM slots and an RJ45 Ethernet handoff at up to 2.5G. Power is delivered over 802.3at PoE+, so the gateway can be placed wherever reception is strongest.

The Ethernet handoff works with any routing or switching device, Meraki or non-Meraki, and the gateway is managed through the Meraki dashboard. Cloud management requires a Meraki cellular gateway licence.
