Description

The Meraki MG41E is a cloud-managed Cat 18 LTE-Advanced Pro cellular gateway from the Meraki MG41 Series. It converts a cellular signal into wired Ethernet for primary or backup WAN uplink, and the external antenna design lets it be placed where signal quality is best. It suits branch sites, pop-up locations, emergency services and mid-range MX deployments in data centres where the best MX location does not have good cellular signal.

The integrated Cat 18 modem delivers up to 1.2 Gbps downstream and 150 Mbps upstream with 4x4 downlink MIMO and dual SIM support using 4FF nano SIMs. It has 2 x GbE LAN interfaces and 2 x 802.3af-compatible PoE-in ports, and can also be powered by DC input. The IP67 rated enclosure operates from -30 C to 50 C. Four external dipole antennas are included, which is what separates the MG41E from the MG41, which has integrated antennas.

The MG41E-HW is the hardware SKU and requires a Meraki cellular gateway licence for cloud management. It hands off over Ethernet to a Meraki MX or any third-party router or switch.
