Description

The MX80-T-DC is a compact 2RU universal edge router from the Juniper MX Series, built for small ISP and service provider edge deployments, Ethernet service delivery and space- and power-constrained points of presence.

It provides 80 Gbps of system capacity with four built-in 10GbE ports and two MIC slots for adding further interface modules. This is the DC-powered variant with timing support (T) and dual power supplies, operating from -40 to -72 VDC, which suits facilities that distribute DC power. The chassis supports front or centre mounting and measures 17.5 x 3.5 x 23.5 in.

The router is built on the programmable Trio chipset and runs Junos OS, so new features and protocols can be supported without hardware upgrades. Its modular port concentrator design allows Ethernet services to be scaled cost-effectively. The two MIC slots accept compatible MICs such as 20x 1GbE SFP, 20x 1GbE RJ45 and 2x 10GbE XFP modules. Feature licences are sold separately.
