Description

The MX80 is a compact 2U edge router from the Juniper MX Series 3D Universal Edge range, built for enterprise WAN edge, Data Center Interconnect, branch aggregation, campus and service provider sites where rack space and power are limited. It runs Junos OS with support for MPLS, IPv6, BGP and IS-IS/OSPF.

This MX80-T-AC chassis provides 80 Gbps of system capacity with four built-in 10GbE XFP ports and three MIC slots, which accept two MICs and one MS-MIC. The modular MIC design lets you add 1GbE or 10GbE interfaces as needs change, and the MS-MIC slot supports services such as IPsec, NAT, stateful firewall and traffic sampling. It is the AC-powered variant, with two PWR-MX80-AC 500 W power supplies and a fan tray for cooling redundancy.

The four built-in 10GbE ports use XFP optics, and the chassis accepts MX80 MICs for 1GbE and 10GbE expansion. Junos software feature licences are separate from the hardware.
