Description

The Juniper MX240 is a compact 5U modular universal edge router in the MX Series 3D range, built for service provider and enterprise edge deployments. It suits business and residential broadband services and high-volume data centre internetworking, with 1.92 Tbps of system capacity.

This SKU is the MX240 base chassis fitted with the enhanced midplane, one SCB-E switch control board, highline AC power and a discounted Routing Engine. The platform supports 10GbE, 40GbE and 100GbE interfaces alongside legacy SONET/SDH, ATM and PDH connectivity, so it can serve both modern and established network builds. The -ACH suffix denotes highline AC input.

The chassis runs Junos OS and supports Junos Fusion and Juniper Virtual Chassis technology, with line-card slots for MPC and DPC cards.
