Description

The MX240 is a 4-slot modular edge router chassis from the Juniper MX Series, built for service provider and enterprise edge, aggregation and WAN routing in a compact footprint.

This base chassis SKU is the high-line AC variant. It includes the midplane, one AC power supply and one SCBE Switch Control Board. The Routing Engine is not part of this SKU, so it is selected separately along with the MPC and MIC line cards that suit your deployment. Management access is provided by an RJ45 console port and a 10/100/1000 Ethernet management port.

The chassis supports redundant power and control components when an additional power supply, SCB and Routing Engine are added. Junos OS software features are licensed separately, and licensing follows the Routing Engine and line cards you choose. The SCBE must match the line cards and Routing Engine selected for the build.
