Description

The ACX7100 is a cloud metro router from Juniper's ACX7000 family, built for the IP service fabric of a Juniper Cloud Metro. This JNP7100-48L-CHAS chassis is the fixed 1RU platform with 48 multi-rate SFP56 ports and 6 QSFP56-DD 400GbE ports. It suits metro access, pre-aggregation and aggregation, lean edge, 5G and Open RAN transport, and data centre leaf and spine roles.

The 48 SFP56 ports run at 10GbE, 25GbE or 50GbE, and the 6 QSFP56-DD ports provide 400GbE uplinks with lower-speed modes such as 100GbE, 50GbE and 40GbE. The ASIC delivers 4.8 Tbps of throughput. Cooling is handled by 6 fans with front-to-back or back-to-front airflow. The platform runs Junos OS Evolved, and the licence tier for this SKU is Standard (Junos EVO). This is the chassis-only variant, so there is no power supply bundled in the SKU.

The SFP56 ports accept SFP56, SFP28 and SFP+ optics, while the uplink ports take QSFP56-DD modules.
