Description

The Juniper PTX10002-60C is a fixed-configuration packet transport router from the PTX10000 line, built for dense 100GbE packet transport and routing in service provider and large network core, aggregation and peering deployments. This SKU is the chassis only variant.

It provides 60 QSFP28 100GbE ports. Each port can be configured as 100GbE, 40GbE or 4x10GbE, which allows up to 192 x 10GbE through QSFP+ breakout cables. Packet forwarding is handled by Juniper's custom Q5 ASICs with Hybrid Memory Cube packet buffering and VOQ memory, delivering up to 6 Tbps of throughput. The Routing Engine uses a 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel CPU with 32 GB of SDRAM and 2 x 64 GB internal SSDs.

Power and cooling are redundant and field-replaceable, with four 1600 W AC or DC power supplies and three 80 W fan modules. The QSFP28 ports accept 100GbE optics, and QSFP+ 40GbE optics and 4x10GbE breakout cables are also supported.
