Description

The MSR4060 is a modular 4U branch router chassis from the Comware MSR4000 family. It is aimed at large branch offices and branch aggregation sites that need high port density, WAN and optional LTE connectivity, integrated security and hardware redundancy in a single platform.

The chassis provides 2 MPU slots, 1 SPU slot, 6 HMIM slots (4 half-height and 2 full-height) and 4 power supply slots with N+1 redundancy. It delivers up to 36 Mpps forwarding performance and up to 28 Gbps IPSec encryption throughput across the MSR4000 family, with 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM and 512 MB flash. It runs Comware v7, and the advanced routing features are deployed with no additional licence. An IPS filter subscription is optional. Compared with the 5U MSR4080 (JG402A), this model offers 6 HMIM slots instead of 8.

It requires one Main Processing Unit (up to two supported) and one Service Processing Unit, and takes HMIM modules including 3G/4G LTE, E1/T1, fibre LAN switching and voice. At least one power supply must be fitted, and PSU types cannot be mixed within one chassis.
