Description

The FlexNetwork HSR6802 is a 5U modular router chassis from the HSR6800 service aggregation router series. It is built for WAN and MAN edge routing in enterprise and carrier-style networks that need MPLS, IPv4 and IPv6 routing alongside high-density 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The HSR6802 chassis offers 2 service slots and supports a redundant power supply arrangement. A multi-core distributed processing architecture scales to 420 Mpps of forwarding performance and 2 Tbps of switching capacity on the series. Routing capabilities include dynamic routing and nested QoS, with full Layer 2 switching and traffic analysis available. Security features cover a stateful firewall, IPsec and dynamic VPN, DoS protection and NAT.

It supports system virtualisation through HPE Intelligent Resilient Fabric (IRF) technology and runs the Comware operating system. The chassis is rack-mountable and measures 8.7 in high, 17.2 in wide and 18.9 in deep.
