Description

This Cisco-sold network interface card is built on the Intel X710 controller and provides two 10GBASE-T RJ45 ports for server connectivity in Cisco UCS environments. It suits deployments that need 10 Gigabit Ethernet over standard twisted-pair copper cabling rather than fibre or direct attach cables.

The card uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface and a half-height, half-length, single-slot form factor. Its two ports are 10GBASE-T over RJ45, so it connects to existing Cat6 or Cat6a copper infrastructure without optics. The UCSXE part number is the X-Series variant of the UCSC-P-ID10GC adapter.

The C-Series equivalent installs in a standard riser slot on supported UCS rack servers, and this X-Series variant is intended for UCS X-Series deployments that need dual-port 10GBASE-T connectivity.
