Description

This Trusted Platform Module 2.0 is an optional security component for Cisco UCS X-Series compute nodes. It provides a hardware root of trust, securely holding passwords, certificates and encryption keys used to authenticate the platform, and storing platform measurements so the server can show it remains trustworthy.

The module is Trusted Computing Group conformant as TPM v2.0 and carries FIPS 140-2 and Common Criteria (CC+) certification, which suits compliance-driven deployments. It is specified for M7 Intel-based UCS compute nodes and is Windows Server 2022 (MSW2022) compliant. A maximum of one TPM is supported per compute node.

Installation is performed after the factory build using a one-way screw, so the module cannot be replaced, upgraded or moved to another compute node. If a node fitted with a TPM is returned, the replacement unit must be ordered with a new TPM.
