Description

The NVIDIA ConnectX-7 4-port 25GbE network interface card is an OEM-sourced adapter for Cisco UCS C-Series rack servers. It is aimed at enterprise data centre connectivity, from traditional workloads through to AI, scientific computing and cloud deployments, including RoCE and SDN or overlay networking environments.

The card provides four SFP56 ports running 25GbE or 10GbE using NRZ signalling, with automatic 10G/25G link speed detection. It connects over a PCIe Gen4 x16 host interface (backward compatible with Gen3) in a half-height, half-length form factor, with a tall bracket fitted. This is the NVIDIA OEM version (OPN MCX713104AS-ADAT) of the Cisco-branded UCSC-P-N7Q25GF, with crypto disabled and secure boot enabled.

It is qualified for Cisco UCS C220 M7 and C240 M7 servers and is also listed for the UCS C240 M8, with a maximum of three cards per server. Supported Cisco optics and cables include SFP-10G-SR, SFP-25G-SR-S and SFP-H25G-CU series copper cables. Break-out and split cables are not supported.

FAQs

Q: How does this differ from the Cisco-branded UCSC-P-N7Q25GF?
A: UCSC-P-N7Q25GFO is the NVIDIA OEM-sourced version of the same 4x25GbE SFP56 HHHL card. It has crypto disabled and secure boot enabled, and uses NVIDIA OPN MCX713104AS-ADAT.

Q: Which Cisco servers is it qualified for?
A: It is qualified for Cisco UCS C220 M7 and C240 M7 rack servers, and is also listed for the UCS C240 M8 with a maximum of three cards per server. Check the Cisco HCL for current qualification.

Q: Which optics and cables work with this card?
A: Cisco-qualified options include SFP-10G-SR, SFP-10G-LR, SFP-25G-SR-S, SFP-10/25G-LR-S, SFP-H25G-CU1M to 4M, SFP-25G-CU5M, SFP-25G-AOC5M and SFP-25G-AOC7M. Break-out and split cables are not supported.

Q: What PCIe slot does it need?
A: It uses a PCIe Gen4 x16 half-height, half-length slot and is backward compatible with Gen3. It is powered from the PCIe slot, so no separate power connection is needed.

Q: Does it support RoCE and SR-IOV?
A: Yes. The card supports RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), SR-IOV and overlay acceleration including VXLAN, GENEVE and NVGRE.
