Description

This 7.68TB E1.S NVMe SSD is a drive option for the Cisco UCS AI rack server range, built on the Micron 9550 Pro platform. It suits local high-speed storage for AI inferencing, training and HPC workloads where self-encrypting drives are a requirement.

The drive uses a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface with NVMe 2.0 in the 15mm E1.S form factor. It is a read-intensive model rated at 1 drive write per day. The 7.68TB Micron 9550 family delivers up to 14,000 MB/s sequential read and 10,000 MB/s sequential write, with up to 3,300 KIOPS random read and 400 KIOPS random write. This SKU is the FIPS 140-3 self-encrypting variant, which separates it from the non-FIPS 7.68TB sibling, UCSAI-NVES7T6M1V=. It is powered from the server's E1.S NVMe drive bay, so no separate power supply is needed.
