Description

This 960GB M.2 SATA solid-state drive from Micron is the boot device for the Cisco UCS C880A M8 AI rack server. It is intended for OS and hypervisor boot volumes on GPU-dense AI servers, and is typically deployed as a mirrored pair.

The drive offers 960 GB of capacity in an M.2 SATA form factor and is a Micron G2 SSD. Up to two drives are installed per UCS C880A M8 server on the M.2 module, managed by the UCSAI-M2-HWRAID Cisco boot-optimized M.2 RAID controller, which supports RAID 0 and RAID 1. Using M.2 boot drives frees the front E1.S NVMe bays, up to eight PCIe Gen5 x4 slots, for data cache.
