Description

The UCS 6600 Series 52-port fabric interconnect is a 1RU top-of-rack platform that provides LAN and SAN connectivity and management for Cisco UCS servers and chassis. It suits customers upgrading to 10/25/50G Ethernet and 64G Fibre Channel, and acts as the connectivity and management backbone for UCS X-Series, B-Series and UCS-managed C-Series servers in a single high-availability domain.

It provides 52 fixed ports: 32 x 10/25/50G SFP Ethernet ports, 16 unified ports that run either 10/25/50G Ethernet or 16/32/64G Fibre Channel, and 4 x QSFP-DD uplinks supporting 40/100/400G Ethernet. Switching throughput is 8.44 Tbps with latency under 1 microsecond. Power comes from up to two hot-swappable 1400W AC supplies, with a typical draw of 368W, and five fan modules provide front-to-back airflow.

The unit works with UCS X9508 and 5108 chassis, UCS VIC 1400 and 15000 series adapters, and UCS B-, X- and C-Series servers. A mandatory perpetual software licence, UCS-FI-6652-SW, activates all ports and software features.
