The NCS 5500 series fixed-configuration router provides 36 x 100G QSFP28 ports in a 1RU chassis, suited to high-density 100GbE aggregation and core networking. This Base licence variant has no separate uplink ports, as all 36 ports are 100G QSFP28 interfaces that can be used flexibly for connectivity within service provider and data centre environments.
