Description

The NCS 540 N540X-6Z6G-SYS is a compact 1RU carrier-class cell-site and access router running IOS XR. It is built for 5G transport and mobile backhaul in Cisco's 5G Converged SDN Transport, as well as wireline services and sealed-cabinet or outdoor deployments that need an industrial temperature range and conformal coating.

The chassis provides 6x 1GE SFP ports and 6x 1G/10G SFP+ ports, driven by a quad A72 1.8 GHz CPU with 8 GB DRAM and 16 GB eMMC, delivering up to 125 Mpps. It has a modular redundant power supply bay that supports concurrent AC and DC modules, and an N+1 modular fan tray. The I-Temp rating covers -40 to +70 C up to 300 m, and the chassis is conformal coated.

Power supplies N540-PWR400-A (AC) and N540-PWR400-D (DC), the N540X-6Z6G-FT fan tray and the N540-RCKMT-PLA rackmount kit are the matching parts for this chassis. It mounts in 19 in, 23 in and ETSI racks. SFP and SFP+ optics are needed to populate the 1G and 10G ports.
