Description

The ISR 4451-X is a modular branch-office router in the Cisco ISR 4000 family, built for sites that need a WAN edge, security and voice gateway in one 2RU chassis. This AXV bundle suits SD-WAN or WAN edge deployments, SIP trunk gateways and session border controller roles using CUBE, SRST, and application-aware routing with integrated security.

The router runs a single universal IOS XE image on a multicore CPU with separated control and data planes. It has 4 onboard 10/100/1000 WAN/LAN ports, 3 NIM slots, 2 enhanced service-module slots, 1 double-wide service-module slot and an onboard ISC slot, all with online insertion and removal. Aggregate throughput is 1 Gbps by default, 2 Gbps with the Performance licence and over 4 Gbps with the Boost licence (CEF only). Memory is 4 GB control and services plane DRAM (up to 16 GB), 2 GB data plane DRAM and 8 GB flash (up to 32 GB). This SKU is the AXV bundle with a PVDM4-64 voice DSP module and CUBE-25 session licences, combining the Application Experience, security and UC licence packages.

The chassis accepts NIMs, SM-X service modules, an ISC card and PVDM4 DSP modules. Internal power supplies are available in AC, DC and PoE options, and the 2RU chassis fits a 19-inch rack, with a 23-inch kit optional.
