Description

The ISR 4451 is a modular branch-office router in the Cisco 4000 Family Integrated Services Routers. It suits enterprise branch sites that need a single WAN edge platform for Catalyst SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN and Internet connectivity, with integrated security and converged services.

This DNA Support SKU is supplied for the Cisco DNA software subscription model. Onboard connectivity is 4 Gigabit Ethernet WAN/LAN ports on RJ-45, alongside 4 SFP-based ports. Expansion is handled by 3 NIM slots and 2 enhanced service-module slots, or 1 doublewide slot. Aggregate throughput is licence-dependent: 1 Gbps by default, 2 Gbps with the Performance licence, and over 4 Gbps CEF-only with the Boost licence.

The 2RU chassis has dual internal power supply bays that accept AC, DC or PoE supplies, with typical draw of 158 W with no modules. Memory starts at 2 GB data plane DRAM and 4 GB control and services plane DRAM, upgradable to 16 GB, with 8 GB of flash upgradable to 32 GB. All I/O modules support online insertion and removal.
