Description

The ISR 4431 is a 1RU branch-office Integrated Services Router from the Cisco 4000 Family, running modular Cisco IOS XE. It suits enterprise branch WAN edge deployments that need secure site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN, an integrated voice and UC gateway, and converged branch infrastructure.

This SKU is the SEC bundle, which includes the Cisco IOS XE Security licence and enables the IPsec VPN and security feature set backed by on-board hardware crypto acceleration. Default aggregate throughput is 500 Mbps, with a Performance licence option for 1 Gbps and a Boost licence option for over 4 Gbps CEF-only. Connectivity comes from 4 x 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports and 4 SFP-based ports, with 3 NIM slots and 1 onboard ISC slot for WAN, voice and compute modules. It ships with 4 GB control and services plane DRAM (expandable to 16 GB), 2 GB data plane DRAM and 8 GB flash (expandable to 32 GB).

Internal AC, DC or PoE power supply options are available, with redundant supply support. The PoE supply provides up to 250 W of endpoint PoE, or 500 W with PoE boost and no redundancy. The SFP ports accept Cisco SFP optics.
