Description

The Cisco IC3000 is a ruggedised, DIN-rail mounted industrial compute gateway from the Cisco 3000 Series. It hosts IoT applications at the network edge using Cisco IOx, keeping analytics close to the data source. It suits intelligent roadways, smart factories and other harsh industrial IoT sites where traffic pattern detection, weather warnings or road condition monitoring need local processing.

The IC3000-2C2F-K9 provides two 10/100/1000 copper Ethernet ports and two SFP fibre ports, plus a dedicated 10/100/1000 management port. It is built on a 4-core Intel Rangeley industrial-temperature CPU with 8 GB of soldered DRAM, 16 GB of onboard flash, a 128 GB mSATA drive and an SD card slot. Dual internal DC power inputs accept 12, 24 or 48 VDC nominal (9.6 to 60 VDC range) at 24 W consumption. Two alarm inputs and one Form C alarm output relay are included.

The SFP ports accept the ruggedised GLC-SX-MM-RGD=, GLC-LX-SM-RGD=, GLC-FE-100FX-RGD= and GLC-FE-100LX-RGD= modules. Devices and applications are managed at scale through Cisco IoT Field Network Director, which requires its own subscription licence.

Q: Does the IC3000 need a licence?
A: The IC3000-2C2F-K9 includes a perpetual licence for the gateway itself. Management through Cisco IoT Field Network Director needs a separate IOTFND-SOFTWARE-K9 subscription licence, available in 1, 3 or 5-year terms.

Q: How is the IC3000 powered?
A: It has dual internal DC inputs accepting 12, 24 or 48 VDC nominal, with a 9.6 to 60 VDC range, and draws 24 W. For AC supply, Cisco lists the external PWR-IE50W-AC= and PWR-IE50W-AC-IEC= power supplies.

Q: Which SFP modules does it support?
