Description

The Cisco ASR 901S Series is a compact, IP65-rated, fanless aggregation services router built for outdoor cell-site and mobile backhaul deployments as part of the Cisco Unified RAN Backhaul solution. It mounts on walls, brackets or lampposts and interoperates with multiple microwave vendors.

This A901S-4SG-F-D variant provides four external 1GbE SFP ports plus a gland interface carrying two internal copper ports, and runs from a DC power supply. Maximum power consumption is under 40 W, and the passive, fanless cooling design supports an ambient operating range of -40 to 65 C. PoE+ on the copper ports is offered on the AC variant only, so this DC unit does not provide it.

The four SFP ports connect to the front panel by LC-LC patch cables, and sealed LC cabling is used externally. The router supports Layer 2, Layer 3 and MPLS deployment models with OAM tools including CFM, Y.1731 FM/PM, Y.1564 compliance and service loopback.
