Description

The ENCS5412P/K9 is a 12-core Service Spare chassis from the Cisco 5000 Series Enterprise Network Compute System (ENCS 5400), a 1RU NFV edge platform for Cisco SD-Branch and Enterprise NFV deployments. It is built around an Intel Xeon D-1557 processor and supplied with no RAM and no disk, so memory and storage are fitted to suit the intended virtualised network functions. An integrated 8-port LAN switch with optional PoE, dual-mode WAN ports and a NIM slot make it suitable for consolidating routing, security and WAN services at the branch.
