Description

The ISR 2911 is a modular second-generation Integrated Services Router from the Cisco 2900 Series, built for branch offices that need WAN routing alongside voice and video services. This V/K9 voice bundle suits sites running SRST or CCME call processing and voice gateway duties.

Three onboard 10/100/1000 RJ-45 WAN ports handle connectivity, while four EHWIC slots (two usable as double-wide), one service module slot and one ISM slot allow the router to be expanded with WAN interface cards and service modules. Two onboard DSP slots are provided, and this voice bundle is specified with a PVDM3-16 DSP module. Memory is 512 MB DDR2 ECC DRAM by default, expandable to 2 GB, and embedded hardware cryptography acceleration supports IPSec VPN workloads. The router supports up to 50 Cisco Unified SRST or CCME sessions.

It runs a single Cisco IOS Universal image, with technology packages activated by software licence through the Cisco software activation process. It supports EHWICs, HWICs, WICs and VICs, ISM modules such as ISM-SRE-300 and ISM-VPN, PVDM3 DSP modules, and the Cisco RPS 2300 for redundant power.
